Pokemon TCG - Mega Evolutions Pitch Black - Pre-Release

Join us for early access to the upcoming Pokémon TCG expansion, Mega Evolution—Pitch Black, ahead of its official release.

Prerelease events are one of the best ways to experience a new Pokémon set for the very first time. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or completely new to organised play, the Prerelease format offers a fun and welcoming environment to explore the newest cards before release.

Using a Build & Battle Box, players will construct a 40-card deck and compete using four Prize Cards, creating faster-paced games that focus on deck building, adaptability, and discovering the new set.

Each participant will receive a Mega Evolution—Pitch Black Build & Battle Box, which includes:

• A ready-to-play 40-card deck
• Four Mega Evolution—Pitch Black booster packs
• One of four exclusive promo cards

You may find yourself building around one of the featured Prerelease Pokémon:

Miraidon – A fast and aggressive Lightning-type attacker capable of applying pressure early before powering up your next Pokémon.

Slowbro – A powerful attacker that rewards careful planning and hand management.

Dhelmise – A unique strategy-focused Pokémon that rewards clever use of the discard pile and careful deck building.

Bastiodon – A defensive powerhouse capable of protecting your board whilst disrupting your opponent's plans.

Tournament Structure

• 3 Swiss Rounds
• Best-of-One
• 40-Card Decks
• 4 Prize Cards

The event will consist of 3 Swiss rounds using the official Pokémon Prerelease format.

All players who complete all 3 rounds of the event will receive 3 additional Mega Evolution—Pitch Black booster packs as part of the event prize support, regardless of final standing.

Prerelease events are designed to be a relaxed and enjoyable way to experience a new set, meet other local players, and get hands-on with the latest cards before their official release.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your place early.

Please note: This is a player participation event. Purchase of a ticket grants entry into the organised play event only. Players must actively participate in all rounds of the event in order to receive a Build & Battle Box, prize support, and any associated event materials.
