Event Overview

Welcome to Ashes of the Empire, the eighth set of Star Wars™: Unlimited! This event turns its focus to a monumental era within the Star Wars galaxy: the Battle of Endor and the years that followed it, featuring characters, ships, and events that played a starring role during the fall of the Galactic Empire.

This Pre-Release gives you the exclusive first chance to open and play with the set’s 260+ new cards ahead of the official launch. Explore brand-new features including the teamwork-driven Support keyword, resilient Mandalorian token units, and hard-hitting Advantage tokens.

Our Pre-Release events are designed to be casual, friendly, and welcoming to players of all skill levels, offering a perfect environment to discover new mechanics and build up the local community. No deck registration is required—just open your kit, build, and play!

Participation Rewards

All players will receive a Pre-Release Kit to construct their tournament deck.

• Inside each kit: 6 × Ashes of the Empire booster packs and 2 × exclusive promo leader cards.

• At the end of the event: All players will receive an additional 2 × Ashes of the Empire Booster Packs just for playing!

Prize Pool

• Additional booster packs or special promotional items added into the prize pool per player entered, to be distributed among top-performing players.

Key Rules & Structure

• Deck Construction: You may only use cards pulled from the 6 booster packs inside your Pre-Release Kit.

• Deck Size: A minimum of 30 cards is required for your main deck.

• Leaders: You must use one leader from your opened packs or the included promo leaders.

• Bases: You may use any common base (even if you didn't open it). Rare bases must be pulled from your packs to be used.

• No Card Limits: Unlike standard constructed play, there is no limit on the number of copies of a specific card you can run in your deck.

• Sideboard: All other unused cards from your packs act as your sideboard during the event.

• Official Star Wars: Unlimited tournament rules apply.

• Swiss rounds only, no Top Cut supported for this event.

• Event structure may be adjusted depending on final attendance.

• Participation rewards available while supplies last.

• Tips for Building: We highly recommend sorting your pulls by aspects and colours first to find your most consistent combos. Aim for a balanced ratio of roughly 20 ground units, 5 space units, and 5 events/upgrades, prioritizing low-cost (1–2 resource) units to guarantee strong early-game plays!
